How to Edit Text in Microsoft Word Document.

Once you typed some text than it requires, edit text and formatting to give nice look to the document. In this Lesson, you will learn about text editing, insert text, select text, Rearrange text with Cut, Copy, and Paste, Finding and replacing text, Undoing and redoing actions.

How to insert new text in Microsoft word document.

File.

New.

Blank Document.

Here you type any text in the document using the keyboard.

Remove Text.

If you want to delete text.

Use Backspace.

or delete key from the keyboard.

Move cursor to the words.

If you want to move cursor among the words/characters than you have to use arrows keys from the keyboard.

Align left the sign of arrow.

Start typing from the left-hand side.

Start typing from center hand side.

The right of the arrow.

Start typing from the Right-hand side.

Double-click where you want to start.

Selecting text with the mouse or keyboard.

Keep mouse on text:

  • If you double click, then entire word will be selected.
  • If you triple, click entire paragraph will be selected.

Rearranging text with Cut, Copy, and Paste.

Cut & paste.

Select text.

Cut from Home Tab.

Keep cursor on that place by double clicking with the mouse, where you want to keep the text.

Click on Paste from Home Tab.

Copy & paste.

Select text.

Copy from Home Tab.

Keep cursor on that place by double clicking with mouse, where you want to keep text.

Click on Paste from Home Tab.

Keyboard shortcut keys.

  • Ctrl+x for cut.
  • Ctrl+c for copy.
  • Ctrl+v for paste.

 

Using cut, copy and paste with the mouse.

Select text.

Right click on.

Finding and replacing text.

Find: you can find any text with the find command.

Replace: you can replace any Text.

For example:

Type some text.
